Really have let this blog go over the weeks... Still working diligently on other blog's... I may start using this blog to post some family pictures like so many other Google free blogs...

Expensive Cell Phones

It doesn't seem to matter how hard I try cell phones just keep going up. Why does it have to cost over $200 for me and my daughters to have a cell phone...I'll cut back, add services cut services. Block stuff... No matter what the bill WILL creep back up to over $200. It just drives me crazy...

Not only that...But the bill is so incredibly hard to understand that this drives me nuts too... I can't make heads or tails out of who is using the most minutes or whatever... It's just so freakin complicated... It's like trying to read Japanese.

Are cell phones evil? Maybe.

This world would just be so much easier if everything were free or at least a bit less complex. Other bills that I get are complicated too... I find myself spending a lot of time trying to get bills ironed out and paid... How the heck can I blog and watch cable TV when I'm spending so much time studying and paying bills... Good grief.

Heck Cable TV is expensive too...And again...A complex bill...Go figure.

Well I been at it about a solid month now.. I try to post on my main blogs almost every day... Sometimes I miss a day here and there... I try to keep some posts on my laptop that I can throw up there if I don't have time to write...

Obama Won

See I told you so.

Bush messed up everything so it didn't really matter if it was Hillary or Barack...The Democrats had it in the bag... People were just simply tired of Bush's war mongering ways. The economy crash was the last straw...

Now me and the 10 or so other democrats in OK are happy... We just keep our mouth's shut about it because we are "aliens" here in Oklahoma....

Commercial Drivers License

I go to CDL school next week for my job... This should be another skill that I'll have under my belt... I'd love to consider my fantasy of making a living (or extra income) using computers and the internet. But I can't live on fantasy Island forever...

I like to dream about my last job... I enjoyed the people that I worked with and the money that I made...And it's been difficult getting myself out of this slump of moving on with life after a layoff... I never thought it would suck as much as it does...

It's all Bush's fault you know... Maybe Obama will get in there and lend a hand to us laid off working poor people in the US...And by taking action I am working on "getting a life" again...

On a personal note things are going well here at home...We just struggle financally is all.

Moving to a New Host - And New Blog

I can't sleep tonight and gotta get up for a hard days work...

My blogs are in the process of being moved to a new server so everything is up in the air... I decided to take my chances with a VERY cheap host to see what happens...I think the parent company to the host is an established internet company so we will see what happens.

I am also blogging at today.com now too. To try and earn a few extra bucks... Getting laid off sucked but things are gonna change... I can feel it...

Adsense Troubles (The Blues)

On my most popular opinion blog I use adsense to try and make a little extra cash to run these expensive sites... Pretty soon I won't be able to afford that server and will do all of my bloggging on free services like this one.

I wrote a short post about DUI awhile back on the Hip Opinion. Now, ever sense I posted that article ALL of my ad's seem to be DUI lawyers and drunk driving schools and stuff... This is driving me crazy... How could that one post effect all the ad's that are displayed... The article isn't even on the front page anymore... It's an archive.

I have used googles adsence competitive add feature to try and stop it... The "reletive" content  feature for google ad's isn't as smart as I once thought... It's so strange how those silly DUI ad's monopolized the entire blog.

Of course I'd rather not have ALL "christian" ad's over at my christian opinion blog either. I tried to fight that with googles back end too but the ones I blocked were simply replaced by other "christian" ad's... How about some ad's for stuff I actually like... You know...Wendy's Mcdonalds, diet coke, Capt Crunch...All the good things in life.... Go figure.

The Castle in Muskogee Holloween Festival

The Castle in Muskogee. Finally made a trip over there... We stumbled around in the dark and paid the big bucks to ride the hayride. We didn't do any of the really "scary' stuff... Kids get scared easy.. (And so do I)

Here's a Review:

• Haunted Hayride - Better than I expected... Nice lighting and some scary moments. Long  slow moving lines however. But once on the trailer it was pretty groovy...The guide with the microphone was a little annoying however...
  
• Ultimate Maze -  Great spooky music going on loud in there... Lights and spooky trees and tunnels. Not a lot of actors however...And people in the maze itself were trying to be actors by scaring other visitors.... Hey, if you want to scare people how about applying for a job at the castle? Your efforts to add to the experience wasn't needed.  
• Pirate Ship - We only sat in on this for about 5 minutes...Which is a review in itself. Perhaps if I had given it a bit more time I would have been more entertained... But the little toy Karaoke stereo they were using as a PA was rather weak. Nice juggling tho.
• Enchanted Boardwalk - This was much better than I thought it would be. I pictured a bunch of cheesy Wal Mart blow up Halloween decorations...But this spooky walk through the woods and boardwalk with literally TONS of blow up lighted Halloween balloons was indeed...Enchanted...
• Torture Chamber - I dunno... I guess you get what you pay for. If I had my glasses and a flashlight and the time to read the museum signs that explained the torture machines I would have been more entertained. But I didn't

I plan on taking a visit to the Hex House in Tulsa later in the season with my pretty girlfriend. We need to be scared a little more.

Cable Internet Customer

Went back to my old ISP again... There is just always some kind of drama with these things. I am trying to consolidate money so i can keep my server running and pay a high speed internet connection. I was simply paying to much having 2 different media companies running stuff...

I'm back on a cable connection... It took a minute to set up but it's buzzing along pretty good today... It seems just as fast as the highest speed DSL and I actually went with the cheapest cable connection I could get... And slowest of course.

That DSL was getting flaky as hell... It was driving me up the wall... Dropping worse than a dialup connection... Which could be around the corner if I can't control these horrible expenses after my crippling layoff... It's Bush's fault... LOL

Vista - Do you still hate it?

Mouse games to check your reaction. I bet that would really be fun on a laptop. Those quircky mouse pad's and stuff.

I don't really enjoy my laptop much. In order to get the performance out of a laptop that you get out of a desktop is about $1000. My laptop simply doesn't have enough processor power or memory to deal with vista.

I am typing this post on a vista box but would rather be using XP still. Vista just isn't all that great in my opinion. Lots of people agree.

It looks pretty...But performs slow... How many people have the money to get a huge upgrade or new computer every time Microsoft comes out with a new OS? I quit trying to keep up with the technology a long time ago... I press on with what I got... And that's fine here.

I'm Only Sleeping

Time is essential to everything we do. And there is never enough of it to go around... Especially when you enjoy laying around in the bed like I do - Sleeping ZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

I'm Only Sleeping while the time clicks by. It was John Lennons favorite thing to do. Likewise... Being lazy is all good.. But non productive.

Now isn't that a cool clock? (see link above) It was thrown together with flash from some images he found on another blog. Stupid and Random and Hilarious.

I continue on my blogging "hobby" and to get my voice heard by the millions of people who deserve to hear what I say (tee hee) I continue to run across other interesting things in the blogsphere. I am making it a point to link to other blogs that I find interesting, and, to help them (and hopefully myself) to obtain more readers... I'm still trying to earn that cup of coffee from Starbucks with nothing but blogging revenue.

You know us bloggers have SO much to say to everybody.

You know the old saying... Never give up... I'm not one to follow this advice... I like to give up...But I'm gonna keep on this train of blogging. I have 3 blogs going that I post to daily...

It seems that the big players at making money blogging is the blogs that teach how to make money blogging... I just discovered that tonight. Go figure..

At any rate I am doing most of the tips that I have read about at sites like problogger.net and One Cool Site. There are thousands of them and many give the same tips over and over... Geeze...  Now I know people would rather read my crap than the same tips over and over right?

That's hard to find folks... It is always a gamble to get good iced tea ANYWHERE.

They used to have my favorite old school sandwich – The “Texas Ham and Cheese” It was a QT exclusive. Now they have some serious choices in sandwiches from all different price ranges.. More than any other convenience store I have seen...
4.Guaranteed Gasoline
You have a gas related problem with your car after filling the tank with QT gas... They fix it... No questions asked.
5.Clean Bathrooms
I would rather pull into a QT bathroom to take a #2 more than any other place hand's down. Except my own can of course. (And QT rivals it in many ways.)

These guys don't fool around... They move their butt's and take care of business. It's all in the training. I will sometimes drift into a competitors store and realize – Geeze these guys are slow as Christmas.

This store often rival's wal mart for pop and beer... They are pretty consistent with how they price their stufff. And if you need a cold 12 pack on the way home from the salt mines... It's always cold for ya... Pop or Beer.

Blogging Networking

I am still working on tips that I get from ProBlogger... Both the book and website... To make ANY extra income is gonna take tons of work . I try to post at least once per day on all my blogs... I am trying to build my writing skills and hopefully write on the side for a blog network or some other little paying gig.

I got laid off but am now working again...But at considerably less money... I am trying to consider this blogging as a "part time job" One that I enjoy instead of clearing carts at the local wal mart at night...

Have I made much money yet... Nope... My most popular blog..The hip opinion seems to have consistent daily visitors however...

The new blog I set up seems to have the favor of Google's Page Ranking God's. It now has a P4 ranking which is unbelievable for the short time it has been live...

I encourage all my readers to please go check it and comment your opinion on the daily posts that I throw up in my spare time... My goal is to at least supplement my income with that blog and maybe with it's sister site the Christian Opinion where I am sorting out my old/new beliefs.

That site has a zero page rank...Go figure.

The Tulsa World has been reporting on a story about a web site in Oklahoma that is critical of Oklahoma politicians. People getting on there and writing what they think of their corrupt ways...

They are demanding their names and SS #'s and stuff... I have been doing forums and stuff for years and don't know any of my customer or friends SS#'s. Couldn't give it to em if they asked.

What country is this anyways? I though there was "freedom of speech"...These Oklahoma political cat's freak me out...

Now...There are lots of blog ad's tools out there... I tried another one: AdBright, and the site was so buggy I couldn't even get the code to try on thier bannder ad's...Pitiful...

MacDonald's Drive Threw....Blues...

I stopped by MacDonald's the other day.... My honey was having her treatment and I was wanting a little snack and then go wait for her to finish up...

I ordered a "happy meal" in the drive threw and looked forward to a bit of salty fries and cheeseburger action...I paid the couple of bucks and got my sack of food. I drove off and started to dig in while rolling down Harvard.

I was my usual messy self and reached in the sack for a napkin. What? There ain't none...Gee... What's a fast food junkie to do?

So what the heck is up with that anyways? They should automatically put napkins in the sack for a drive through fast food purchase. I mean what if that happy meal were for my 4 year old? Just use your shirt honey..I know it sucks to have ketchup and stuff all over your face... Oh wait...They didn't give me ketchup either...

It's hard for me to remember you ALWAYS have to ask for napkins and ketchup in the drive threw.... Those guys are trying to save money you know...

Led Zeppelin Live

Been checking out Led Zeppelin Live on VH1 Classic.... Actually I spend a lot of time in front of the tube these days... Lots' of movies and stuff....What's a poor boy do except sing for a rock and roll band you know?

The footage appears to be from the DVD's they released a few years back.... I haven't seen any of this stuff...All I remember is the song remains the same movie I saw back in high school or something...The one with all the silly footage of jimmy page's house and the gangster band manager and the drummers race cars...

This footage is just raw zeppelin on stage playing....AMAZING.... Like totally... The recording is immaculate. And they are right on together... I have hard of the Grateful Dead being in the Cosmo's together in space just jamming yet together...

Not even close to these guys.... I know that a lot of that playing they are doing is not rehearsed... They are simply going into "space" themselves and have cues as to when to end a song.... A lot of it is just straight jamming.... And they do it well... Totally in tune together as to where the other is going...Loud, stopping on a dime, and or just dropping out altogether to let a band mate improvise... Solo...

I'm blown away folks...Good stuff....
Wow, it's great being job hunting.... :D

My Websites

I have come across a new hosting solution that is miles ahead in the hosting game... To all you guys that I have been hosting I will be moving your sites over to the new server sometime this month... A move like this will take time and there may be some bugs to work out....

I am unemployed for the moment but am hoping to get a decent job in a computer field and am going to set up a new site for myself on the new server posting my resume and stuff....(Such as it is)

I will email each of ya when I'm working on moving you over.... If you are in control of your domain you will need to change the nameservers to point to the new server.. If not I own your domain I will change your nameservers for you...

Remember donations accepted as I am unemployed and this new hosting solution is a little higher than I am currently paying.... But with this new technology it is guaranteed 100% uptime and very fast server speeds as the big boys like Google and amazon are using the same technology....

Hollywood's 70's Awakening

The wonderful 70's.... Not much on music.. With a few exceptions like Led Zeppelin. I don't really dig much 70's music.... I mean it's okay but how can the 60's be beaten.. Musically anyways.

However Hollywood changed with many new young director/ artists. That change the film industry completely... So the 70's was certainly a good time for movie goers.... And of course they are now all available to enjoy on DVD..... Thought provoking stuff...

Always looking for good free stuff and bargains and tools that I can get in the internet:
Here is a list of things I have downloaded and would recommend:

AVG Anti Virus - I never use the paid stuff that comes with a new box... I uninstall that expensive stuff and use this free one...And keep it updated regularly

Open DNS - Makes your network more secure and faster....And tells you if your on a "phishin" site... It also "guesses at misspelled URL's. With absolutely nothing to install

Spyware Blaster - Recent reviews of spyware remover tools have been mixed at best. This free program zaps spyware before it gets installed on your system

Google Tools- These guys are always coming up with cool free stuff.. I use blogger, Picasa , IGoogle and Web Accelerator. And I plan on looking for more...

I also recently found a shopping search engine that works very well.

And of course the NING network which hosts this site totally free.... Very stable with tons of drive space and bandwidth....

I'm gonna be trying some other stuff now that I am in the Geek out mode... Ya dig?

Time Warp

It feels like the days are flying by now that I'm outta a job....Strange...

Holy Week

As you know I have become a full card carrying Lutheran.... I know, my critics may be skeptical of their "liberal" views.... Of course I am a liberal Christian anyways and certainly a democrat...

I have learned much from entering into this more traditional world of the church... Meeting some really good people and am making progress in my walk with God...That's what it's all about ain't it? Check it out as this will be the most special easter season I think I have encountered

Strange Police in Robertsdale AL

We took a trip down to Orange Beach AL... Next to gulf shores... It was a 16 hour drive and we arrived in Robertsdale about 3 AM. Then - I got pulled over....Here is the discussion we had:

Orange Beach AL

Unexpected vacations are the greatest ones. I been to a few beaches in my day. My favorite until now was a trip with my high school bud Gar. We just grabbed some cash and went down to the texas beaches and Mexico until we ran outta money and then came home...

On this one my mom came up with an excellent deal on a beachside Condo. We can sit on the balcany and just soak up God's awesome creation... It's clean and very beatiful....And of course having a beautiful girl on my arm makes it pure exctacy... My lovely girlfriend....

Thank you mom.... I love you!

They don't exist anymore.... Went to several eyeglasses and sunglasses shops at 2 malls recently...Oh yeah...They tried to point me to some that were kinda round.... I told one guy... Hey, Do you know what a circle looks like.... Those ain't circles ya dig?

New High School Flicks

SuperBad - So who is that? Superbad? Hmmm? I don't get it... Those kids really need to get a life I guess... The number one priority of getting laid as a teenager can be tiresome... Been there done that... Do kids still think that way? Gee and loook...They all lived happily every after. C-
Abnormal Adolecent Behavior - Wow... What ever happened to the jocks, geeks, hoods, jesus freaks etc... The "sex" click? Wow... That's the one all of us would have wanted to be in... Well except the homophobic people. Hey! Those kids really "loved" each other...Were gonna go to collage together and continue all the fun... Actually they would probably end up in a porno film circle as those actors practice the same reality to avoid STD's... Interesting stuff... B

Online Recovery?

Been a bit of controversy stirring over the Tulsa recovery website I put up using the ning tools. There are a lot of these networking sites out there with the popularity of myspace and facebook.
It make since that it would transcend into the recovery community.

• Staying Cyber

Many people in recovery are a part of the myspace community too... Lots of AA and NA groups that are very popular. Some folks in recovery depend on the internet to get recovery as they may be confined to home or need assistance to get to meetings.

Tradition 11: Our public relations policy is based on attraction rather than promotion; we need always maintain personal anonymity at the level of press, radio and films.

Does this mean internet? Press, radio, films and internet. And bumper stickers and jewlery and lighters. Rehab is for quitters... I like that shirt...Perhaps it would look better with the NA logo. The NA logo looks good on several Tattoos I have seen. I like the NA logo better than the AA. It just looks cooler to a digital artist like myself...

Tradition 10: Alcoholics Anonymous has no opinion on outside issues; hence the A.A. name ought never be drawn into public controversy.

I LOVE controversy... I love to talk about our president and stuff... Online, in meetings, at the job.. Wherever... It's just good clean fun. I hear a lot about mental illness and stuff in meetings..And of course...Drugs...Does it create controversy?Sure... Everybody has an opinion.

So what is the post all about? I started to take down the recovery website. But after thinking (and praying) about it I decided to leave it up for now... I made a few changes to make it seem a bit more annonomous. But I won't be swayed.. The internet is simply a tool for communication. It can be used for good or evil... Depends on the motives...

I plan on continuing to work and promote the site to see what happens over the next few months or so... If it doesn't grow I'll consider letting it go. But I believe it will do recovery better as a "whole" than cause unwanted grief to members of recovery groups or programs...

I plan on attending the group conscience for the folks opposing this view... Listen to opinions and suggestions... But won't be strong armed into taking the site down... I haven't heard that that is the intention...But have heard that I needed to be there to "defend" myself... Hmmmm?

Actually all of googles tools are pretty darn good... On a new box of mine I am playing with picasa. A free image editing tool that is rather powerful... I am using googles online photo gallery to post some pictures...

My Space? Hmmm? You know I have always internally debated about that site... It's clunky tools, ridiculous endless profiles and crazy smack talking mackin' that goes on there... Sure it's fun when your a "swinging single" and all... But then I ain't never been much on talking smack... And I aint' single either...
